Mission Lodge Lookout is a high-altitude historical site located within the Morne Seychellois National Park. Situated on a mountain ridge, it provides some of the most dramatic views of the central and western coasts of Mahe. This site was once the location of "Venn’s Town," a 19th-century boarding school built for the children of liberated slaves. Today, the moss-covered ruins and the cool mountain air create a quiet, reflective atmosphere for every visitor.
Many people browsing Seychelles Tour packages include a stop here to enjoy the panoramic scenery and the deep historical roots. The journey up the winding Sans Soucis road takes you through thick rainforests filled with cinnamon trees and tropical birds. Once you reach the lookout, a wooden pavilion provides a shaded spot to see the ocean meeting the green hills. It is a very different experience compared to the sunny beaches found at lower elevations today.
